Welcome to My Photography Blog

If you're searching for a particular post, search by month and click on the month that the post is in (for some reason, the slideshows don't show up if you click on the post itself.)

Well, it's been a year and a half since moving from Boston to Jax Beach! My photography business has taken off since moving here and I'm enjoying so many things about doing photography in Jacksonville Beach. I've done simple beach ceremonies to beautiful wedding venues! I've traveled to St. Simon's Island, GA and Charleston, SC! I've been able to photograph Smokey Robison for the Florida Theatre and photograph the Jacksonville Airshow over our beach! I hope you enjoy just a few of the many images I've captured.

Isabela's First Birthday

Maggiano's at Towne Center was the location for Isabela's first birthday. About 60-80 of her relatives were there to help celebrate. Everyone wanted their picture taken with Isabela - what a loved little girl. Her mom had decorated the room so cute and the cake - well, let's just say I'm going to steal the idea for one of my grandkids birthday cakes! So cute! Isabela was a little overwhelmed with everything as you'll see in her 'I just can't take it anymore' crying picture! I was amazed she lasted as long as she did! Enjoy the slideshow above.

Beach Photos with the Rosenthals

We managed to finish up these photos just a few days before Dana delivered a little boy! She really did have that 'glow.' Laila,(I'm not sure I'm spelling that right), the little girl, was not happy being put down and wanted her mom to hold her the entire time. We used a little creative photography to get her to touch her mom's tummy...we just shot from behind Laila so you couldn't see she was screaming :-)

Aaron was a trooper and showed her a cute sand turtle that someone had made. That made her happy for a moment. I told him not to feel bad because his little girl preferred her mother - my kids didn't want much to do with my husband until they were old enough to ask for money and the car! :-) But now, they prefer their dad to me, I think! What's that saying, 'Little boys grow up and marry them a wife, but little girls are their daddy's little girls for life.'

Smokey Robinson Concert

Smokey Robinson gave a concert in Jacksonville at the Florida Theatre. Thanks to a friend at my church who's company was responsible for putting in the bronz stars, I was able to be the photographer for the 'before and after concert' pictures with the people who donated money. Smokey was incredible in concert. Great voice, great energy, a true entertainer.

Jacksonville Beach Airshow

I got to walk a block from my house to the beach on Thursday, Friday and Sat. to watch the Blue Angels and other aircraft in the JAX Beach airshow. It was so cool to watch them over the beach and water and I got to use my new lens to grab some cool shots. These are just a few below. Enjoy!

Katrina Schmalz & Luis Mendizabal Wedding

I felt like the postman the weekend of Katrina's wedding. Neither rain, nor sleet...you get the idea. It was 30 degrees the afternoon we did her bridals and 40 the day of the wedding. The next day it snowed. Who would have thought that New England in mid-October could give us such a hard time! I did love her dress - handmade by Jess Law.

Enjoy the slideshow below. I did manage to get Katrina to take off her shawl for just a few shots. It really was freezing!!!
